Souvent qualifi\u00e9es de tetes en l\u2019air, ces personnes souffrent en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du Trouble du D\u00e9ficit de l\u2019Attention avec ou sans Hyperactivit\u00e9 (TDA\/H).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Encore sous diagnostiqu\u00e9 surtout chez l\u2019adulte, le TDA\/H fait beaucoup entendre parler de lui, mais de quoi s\u2019agit-il r\u00e9ellement ? Plongeons ensemble au coeur de ce trouble pour mieux le comprendre et d\u00e9mystifier ses r\u00e9alit\u00e9s cach\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qu&#8217;est-ce que le TDA\/H ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le TDA\/H est un trouble neurod\u00e9veloppemental, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire qu\u2019il perturbe le d\u00e9veloppement typique du syst\u00e8me nerveux. Le TDA\/H se caract\u00e9rise principalement par trois sympt\u00f4mes :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inattention : difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 se concentrer sur une t\u00e2che, facilit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre distrait, oubli fr\u00e9quent des objets ou des t\u00e2ches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impulsivit\u00e9 : tendance \u00e0 agir sans r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, \u00e0 interrompre les autres ou \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions h\u00e2tives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hyperactivit\u00e9 : agitation constante, impossibilit\u00e9 de rester assis, parler excessivement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Origines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 ce que nous pouvons entendre tr\u00e8s souvent, le TDA\/H ne d\u00e9coule pas d\u2019une \u201cmauvaise \u00e9ducation\u201d. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9 le TDA\/H a des origines biologiques et g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques, qui s\u2019exprimeront diff\u00e9remment selon l\u2019environnement dans lequel l\u2019enfant grandit. Le cerveau d\u2019une personne atteinte de TDA\/H est donc diff\u00e9rent de celui d\u2019une personne sans TDA\/H.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une autre id\u00e9e re\u00e7ue sur le TDA\/H serait que le monde num\u00e9rique actuel en serait l\u2019origine. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, le monde de l\u2019information continue et du num\u00e9rique tel que nous le connaissons aujourd\u2019hui aggrave les sympt\u00f4mes d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sents chez les personnes souffrant de TDA\/H.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le TDA\/H \u00e0 tous les l\u2019\u00e2ge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que souvent diagnostiqu\u00e9 durant l&#8217;enfance, le TDA\/H peut \u00e9galement se manifester \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge adulte. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, l\u2019hyperactivit\u00e9 diminue avec l\u2019age, tandis que l\u2019inattention et l\u2019impulsivit\u00e9 persistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chez l\u2019enfant pr\u00e9sentant un TDA\/H, les sympt\u00f4mes entravent le fonctionnement de l\u2019enfant au quotidien \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 la maison et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole. D\u2019ailleurs ces enfants sont souvent qualifi\u00e9s \u00e0 tord de turbulents ou r\u00eaveurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chez l\u2019adulte, les sympt\u00f4mes ont souvent \u00e9volu\u00e9s et se manifestent par des difficult\u00e9s d&#8217;organisation, des oublis fr\u00e9quents ou une impulsivit\u00e9 dans la prise de d\u00e9cisions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Que faire si je pense avoir un TDA\/H ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si vous vous retrouvez dans les descriptions pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes ou qu\u2019elles vous font penser a l\u2019un de vos proches, il est important de consulter un professionnel de sant\u00e9. Un diagnostic pr\u00e9cis est essentiel pour une prise en charge efficace. Celui-ci se base g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sur des entretiens cliniques, des questionnaires et des observations, et se fait par un neuropsychologue clinicien<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le traitement du TDA\/H peut inclure des interventions comportementales, de l&#8217;\u00e9ducation adapt\u00e9e et, dans certains cas, des m\u00e9dicaments. Les m\u00e9dicaments peuvent \u00eatre b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques pour certains, mais pas pour tous. Ils doivent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s judicieusement, en association avec d&#8217;autres formes de traitement. Leur but du traitement m\u00e9dicamenteux du TDA\/H n&#8217;est pas de &#8220;calmer&#8221; artificiellement le cerveau, mais de r\u00e9guler ses neurotransmetteurs et laisser place aux autres th\u00e9rapies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>En somme<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Trouble du D\u00e9ficit de l&#8217;Attention avec ou sans Hyperactivit\u00e9 n&#8217;est pas une simple \u201ctendance\u201d ou une excuse pour un comportement inattentif.
